Organizing
I'm not sure how to store my burned CDs and DVDs. The slim line jewel cases leave you more room; however, you can't write labels on the sides, so you can't browse through them like books on a bookcase: you have to pull each one out to see what the hell it is. I think I'm just going to get the regular sized cases, if they still sell them.

Why is IKEA furniture so crappy, yet so expensive? I just need a bookcase that can handle holding books for more than a year.

Gimme gimme!
Is there anything on this earth more delicious than a Cadbury's flake?
No.
Hugh was making truffles tonight, and I was helping him by cutting up the chocolate. The knife I was using and the texture of the bars made the chocolate turn out like piles upon piles of Cadbury's flakes. Oh god, I almost died. One of the types of chocolate we bought, some kind of German chocolate, was especially delicious. So far, Hugh has made raspberry and peppermint truffles.
Oh yes, that reminds me: once I saw a t-shirt that said, "To hell with love. I'd rather fall in chocolate," with a picture of some lady's feet sticking out of a vat of chocolate. Can't I have both?

Food coloring update
I just saw Buddy sticking his paw into the water dish and flicking colored water onto the floor. He's a funny, little guy.

What is this?
I just put some green and blue food coloring into the pets' water dish. Nyah nyah nyah!
Pink and Legs ran over to sniff it; Pink may have taken a sip, I'm not sure. Anyway, I think it was probably a bad idea. While drinking the colored water certainly isn't going to hurt them, learning that it's safe to drink things that don't look like water might. We have a habit of leaving sodas and milk sitting out; I haven't noticed anyone drinking them, but maybe they're very stealthy. Actually, I take that back, I have seen Buddy drinking milk.

Introduction
Let's see...
I recently transferred to UC Davis from a certain other university which shall remain nameless (and hated), and moved in with my boyfriend Hugh who also goes to UC Davis. (I'm very excited to be living with Hugh; being like 10 billion gazillion hours away from each other was very depressing.) At UC Davis, I will be a Molecular and Cellular Biology major. Many people have told me that this place is a tiny, hippy town with nothing to do but tip cows: hopefully, these are lies or overexaggerations...but you never know. Hugh seems to like it here, but maybe he has turned into a hick. :P
Anyway, I decided to make a livejournal because I'll have nothing to do this summer except wait for school to start. I had a private journal on my computer (not uploaded to livejournal), and I might transfer some of those entries here. Who knows...
